Co-ordinate the efficient and effective delivery of business strategy through structuring operational plans, and the implementation thereof, through the management of procurement related expenditure for the organization. SourcingCollect and analyze the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for a medium-risk area with some alternatives/medium costs of changing, in consultation with relevant functions to provide solid market information for decision making. Ensure achievement of the companys BBBEE objective with regard to preferential procurement as well as compliance to the Code of Good Practice. Understand business processes, needs and requirements in order to award business based on compliance requirements contained in the Requests For Proposals and best practice.Cost AccountingEvaluate costs and identify variances or opportunities to improve profitability for more senior colleagues. Improve procurement influence and strengthen negotiations ability in the market through the review of existing and the forecast of future expenditure.Analyze and understand business expenditure relating to internal and external service providers as required in order to drive cost efficiencies for the business and ensure quality services are delivered to internal and external clients.Performance ManagementDevelop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance. Manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.Stakeholder EngagementIdentify and manage stakeholders up to management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions. Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships with various stakeholders to foster effective long term strategic partnerships.ProcurementManage a portfolio of procurement programs while reporting to senior colleagues.Contract RequirementsIdentify contract requirements and write specifications for a medium portfolio or area of the business for existing contracts and/or new contracts. Facilitate and finalize Supplier Service level Agreements and contracting with existing and new Suppliers in conjunction with the Legal Compliance Team.Contract ManagementManage a portfolio of contracts and negotiate service level agreements. Will also plan, coordinate and supervise activities relating to major contracts. Monitor the suppliers compliance with the BBBEE Act and implement remedial actions when necessary.Operational ComplianceIdentify, within the team and various stakeholders, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate. Ensure adherence to compliance standards in accordance to company procurement requirements and procedures in awarding new and existing business on an on-going basis.Personal Capability BuildingDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.Leadership and DirectionExplain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done and and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
