AVBOB, AFRICA'S LARGEST MUTUAL ASSURANCE SOCIETY PROVIDING A ONE-STOP FUNERAL INSURANCE AND BURIAL SOLUTION, HAS A VACANCY FOR:MANAGER: BROKER SERVICES AND FRANCHISE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Develop and implement broker and franchise plan and operational model to enhance business growth.Reviews, aligns and implements broker and franchise plan to alternative distribution channel strategy Implement the Broker and Franchise value proposition and support services required to attract, engage and retain brokers and franchisers as per the plan. Define channel objectives as aligned to the planDefine resourcing approach to support the planImplement broker and franchise remuneration models and make recommendations for improvements to the modelsOperationalisation of Broker and Franchise plan and model and resource the internal operating model and structure Design and implement the Broker and franchise support modelsDevelop processes to support brokers in collaboration with ICT and Insurance Operations Departments.Determine and set goals and objectives for the broker partners to fulfil the growth objectivesDevelop channel procedures manual that is communicated to all franchises on what they can do and cannot do.Devise training programmes for brokers in collaboration with the HR Training Department on compliance and legislative requirements.Support, lead and mentor the Area Managers and Broker Consultants in achieving sales outcomes.Prepare sales and marketing budgets.Provide support in resolving broker issues and concerns.Provide coaching and professional development to Area Managers in order to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.Prepare broker sales targets.Ensure that all brokers and sub-agents are properly licensed and comply with legislation.Ensure that training/professional development assistance/guidance is provided to broker consultants.Ensure all marketing, branding of offices and advertising by brokers complies with AVBOB standards, and should discuss examples of appropriate and inappropriate advertising with broker consultants.Drive Sales and GrowthDesign channel growth targets and tracking mechanismsImplement initiatives to ensure that budgets are met and the quality of new business drives the profitability of the Group. Meet assigned targets and quality for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.Develop approaches for retention of current business and quality of new businessIdentify growth and expansion opportunities for the distribution channelClient relationships Build on an already established network of contacts across the Groups target sectors to bring opportunities into the business.Engage with brokers to anticipate potential business opportunities and implement actions that will position the Group with differentiated advantage. Measure broker engagement numbers against new brokers appointed.Prepare programmes of external communication, customer engagement and brand promotion that will contribute to the achievement of the Groups objectivesDepartmental and People ManagementDevelop the operational requirements of the department, that ensures that the systems and processes are efficient and effective to achieve the sales objectives.Drive the One AVBOB agenda to ensure that there is collaboration with all business units.Prepare the departments performance reports by collecting, analysing, summarizing data and trends, and implement corrective actions.Develop and manage the KPAs and KPIs for brokers and franchise principals.Plan, implement and maintain a training plan in collaboration with HR to ensure that all insurance staff are well equipped in terms of knowledge, skills and competencies and according to regulatory requirementsEnsure that performance management processes, including quality, persistency and volumes for the department are implemented and monitoredImplement sales incentives (competitions) that support the business objectives and comply with all regulations,Ensure development among the teams for succession planning
