Product Manager - Influencer
MRM Building Solutions & Steel is seeking to recruit Product Manager Coated Steel & Influencer. The candidate must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate high integrity and professional ethics and make decisions on the role in a prudent manner. To manage our marketing & business development function for Domestic and Export customers for Group and non-Group customers, including all influencing communities (specifiers, architects & developers across the East Africa Coils Market). Oversee the marketing, branding, advertising, merchandising and promotional staff activities in line with local and Safal Group plans.To identify and develop new market segments for coated products including market analysis, competitor profiles, product profiles and segment marketing plans. To work cross-functionally in ensuring new product development implementation and broad organizational understanding of key market drivers and needs. Develop and execute a company wide influencer marketing strategy, including partnerships with professional associations, industry regulators and the building materials industry a)Market and Brand Leadershipi.Working with the Management, provide marketing inputs to the Business Plan to support business growth and achieve BU objectivesii.Develop a marketing strategy, with brand and portfolio objectives, strategies and plans in line with Corporate Objectives and the Company Business Plan.iii.In conjunction with Management, develop Brand and Product development plans linked to the Business Unit Marketing plan, specifically focused on Zincal and new Color Coated products.iv.Ensure market development by conducting market research, mapping and understanding new target segments for additional Color products.v.Ensure Market maps are completed for all major markets / segments / countries and competitive profiles developed together with Segment Value Propositions. vi.Establish and maintain a good relationship with stakeholders (internal and external both direct and indirect) vii.Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements, meet principles of sound corporate governance and internationally accepted environmental, health, safety and quality standards viii.Plan and administer the Business Units Marketing budget.ix.Manage agencies, suppliers, the media, service providers and partnersb)Strategic marketing plan development and implementation: i.Develop and maintain product, marketing and pricing strategies, systems and processes ii.Implement the strategies, systems and processes for successful entry, growth and sustainability in domestic and export markets iii.Develop the Companys marketing position to support its strategy iv.Establish and maintain national and international relationships and networks with key stakeholders and influencers (including venture partner organizations, service providers and potential customer organizations) to support the marketing effort. c)Strategic market analysis and expansion i.Provide marketing related information required for decision making, budgeting and other activities ii.Conduct market research and screening of potential markets iii.Continuously analyze markets and identify marketing-related risks that can adversely influence the companys marketing positions iv.Implement and manage risk mitigation strategies v.Work cross functionally to ensure product development plans are achieved.
