Seriti is a broad based, 91% black owned and controlled South African mining company producing coal for domestic power generation as well as the export market. The company consists of seven operating coal mines, processing plants and several other projects at different life stages. Seritis ambition is to empower and create growth for all its stakeholders.The role:To be responsible for providing leadership and developing of the Seriti Group supply strategy for Warehousing, Inventory Management and Logistics operations as well as other key initiatives linked to the sub-function service delivery through the management of people, projects, and processes The duties will include but are not limited to:Owns the provision of safe and secure warehousing and logistics services and facility (or facilities) for all Supply materials as the single point of accountability for all Seriti operationsDeployment of the care strategy to create an inclusive culture where people, processes and systems are integrated to deliver safe outcomes including the material risk management frameworkManages the business continuity risks by ensuring plans are in place for strategic inventory Guides Operations Senior Leadership on Supply risk management and relevant mitigating actionsProvides input to strategic objectives for the function and drives implementation, accordingly, develops plans to deliver the annual budget, objectives, and priorities for the sub function. Monitor and drive execution of those plans to achieve outcomes in line with HSE, service delivery and cost performance targetsDevelop an inventory improvement strategy for all Seriti operations to ensure optimal use of working capitalCollaborates with Maintenance across operations to align material stocking strategies and ensure availability of critical itemsEnsures performance of warehousing delivers on-time and in line with asset maintenance requirements for planned and schedule materialsEstablishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives
