Capital Markets team is now looking for a Business Development Manager. This is a very interesting role as it is the first time the US Capital Markets team will have a dedicated BDM, therefore the role holder will have the opportunity to shape the role from day one. Impact of the US Capital Markets BDM role:We need an experienced pursuits and BD professional that will help the business target and win more work with a focus on US public and private markets in a variety of sectors, notably Technology & Media, Consumer Markets, Natural Resources and other relevant sectors. The right individual will form part of a team focused on achieving increased revenues for this practice.The successful individual will collaborate with our business leaders to identify, lead the creation and implementation of strategic pursuit / account plans and work with business leaders towards the conversion of identified targets.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a tangible difference to the way in which we go-to-market and is strongly motivated to win.Key responsibilities of the US Capital Markets BDM role:Support the business by taking a proactive lead in developing a library of materials including proposal documents in varying areas of the business: Audit, US Capital Markets and Accounting AdvisorySupport the business by taking a proactive lead in developing a suite of materials showcasing LAG USAs services internally and externally on our Intranet and Extranet websitesCollaborate with cross sector teams in the UK and in the US to develop marketing materials that deliver in both markets, and are focused on key strengthsSupport the business to identify key targets, keeping up to date with and reporting to the team on market developments Collaborate with partners to develop relationships with targets and identify strategic cross service line pursuit plans in order to capitalise on potential opportunitiesTake a proactive lead in managing all pursuits through sales lifecycleDevelop broader target client and adviser relationships (lawyers, brokers, nomads) in order to capture and understand potential client needs and wider market opportunitiesProvide targeting and sales led direction to others including central bids and target delivery teams. Take a proactive lead on sales planning to potential targets and managed key account clientsDevelop differentiated propositions that tangibly differentiate BDO from its competitorsBuild early engagement of all relevant BDO stakeholders in order to build momentum for work winningProvide insightful market led commentaries relevant to identified targets with targeted touch point action plans Collaborate with partners on delivery of pre-qualification tender information and proposal documents Take an active lead role in business development meetings and workshops.Other responsibilities:Facilitate and project manage market commentary delivered through website and social media Monitor US market-relevant publications to identify potential PR opportunitiesBuild relationships with stakeholders of key industry events (whether online or face-to-face), attend conferences/webinars and network with potential targetsProvide direction to support team on delivery of targeted events Communicate key successes to the businessProvide coaching to pitch teams in preparation for presentations / pitches / key client engagementsIndependently review and edit written proposals
