The Manager: Artisan Development is responsible for managing the development of Artisan technical trades and hairdressing interventions while ensuring adherence to regulations and legislation. The incumbent must also ensure the capacitation of training providers, employers, bargaining council, industry and trade test centers. Manage the creation of artisan development initiativesCreate workplace database and manage the maintenance thereofForward databases for consolidation for public access/use, and monitor itProvide quality assurance assistance to Learning Programme Implementation Sign off PIPs & budget for approvalEnsure template accuracy and provide Learning Programme Implementation with the accurate templateSupply serial numbers for trade testsDevelop training material for capacitating learners and other stakeholdersManage compliance to procedures for approval of workplaceSet criteria for accreditation developmentManage workplace registrations processingManage and oversee the Apprenticeship/Trade Test, application processingManage generation and issuing of trade test lettersManage the Certification processesEnsure timeous courier of CertificatesCompile reports relevant to the functionManage the invoicing processing in the UnitIn conjunction with Learning Programme Implementation monitor projectsCompile reports to NADSC for enrollmentReceive reports from NADSC representative and comment on reports within specified time-framesCooperation and coordination with NAMBAchievement and management of the Units work plansContribute to the development of the APP and SPIdentify key deliverables within Hairdressing InterventionsDevelop work plans for the UnitEnsure that work plans are aligned to the APP and SPManage compliance to reporting templates and frameworksProvide monthly reportsDetermine budget for travel to sites, SME, monitoring - site visits and workplace approvalImplement risk management strategies in the UnitManage compliance to policies and procedures of the UnitPeople management practices for the UnitProvide sufficient staff and adequate staffing for the UnitImplement people management practices for direct reportsAssign accountabilities to direct reportsMonitor and evaluate the performance of direct reportsProvide capacity building through training, coaching and development of direct
