The Senior Manager: Information and Communication Technology is responsible for improving and developing IT strategies, programmes, and governance processes to ensure optimised Services SETA business operations. This entails the development and integration of IT systems to ensure smooth running of all IT systems. The role is also responsible for the implementation of modern infrastructure to ensure that Service SETAs IT needs are met, including applications, networks, and hardware operations. The incumbent must ensure that appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure of Services SETA. Lastly, the incumbent must manage the implementation of network design, implementation of computer and information networks. Manage the alignment of enterprise IT architecture for Services SETA Oversee the implementation of an IT architectural strategy, policies, and proceduresLead the Implementation of architecture maintenance plans estimates and life cycle for proposed solutions Ensure regular maintenance of architecture models and documentation to keep the information current and accurateLead the analysis of business operations and ensure operations improvement when necessaryDevelop and manage the implementation of information technology strategy and IT infrastructure plans guarantee to infrastructure capacity for SSETAEnsured infrastructure capacity for SSETA Research, and lead the development of IT hardware in line with the SSETAs needs and strategic goalsDevelop and implement strategies to guarantee infrastructure capacityManage the implementation of ICT infrastructure plans and programmes Lead the implementation of IT infrastructure policy and procedures within SITA framework and standards Lead the modernisation of existing hardware infrastructure Manage the availability of IT services control and IT infrastructure technical and service support to all users of SSETADevelop and monitor IT related Service Level AgreementsEnsure the implementation of data management systemEnsure the implementation of effective management of communication networksReview and provide input on statistic reports from network testingManagement of IT Systems IntegrationManage the development of IT systems policy within the framework of government standards Lead he development of a Master Systems Plan for SSETAEnsure seamless provision of systems support to all usersLead the modernisation of SSETA systems and applications, based on Industry StandardsEnsure systems analysis studies are conducted Lead data quality analysis on existing and proposed data systems and ensure the certification of compliance with data quality standardsEnsure the integration between all the different IT systems in the organisation Implement mechanisms to ensure effective management of cost efficiency of IT Systems and applications for SSETAEnsure proper maintenance of existing IT systems and applications Ensure effective management of renewal of software licenses as when requiredEnsure IT Systems security, continuity and the implementation of proper governance standards and procedures Monitor and manage the acquisition, upgrading and maintenance of IT Software Security packages for SSETAEnsure the management of assessment, mitigation, and reduction of IT RisksEnsure efficient system technical support to all users in the organisationIT Information ManagementEnsure the management of business intelligence activities for SSETAEnsure the maintenance of a high-level information securityEnsure the development and implementation of data warehousing and data integrity for SSETAEnsure management and maintenance of data integrityEnsure effective maintenance of IT Service Help Desk for the SSETAEnsure the development and management of Portal content Lead the management and maintenance of the SSETAs Website Oversee the management of collection, modelling and archiving of Metadata Review data requisite for quality analysis, maintenance and refreshing of the metadataEnsure the development of realistic IT plans for the future of SSETAAchievement and management of the Departments business plansContribute to the development of the APP and SPDevelop operational plans for the DepartmentEnsure the implementation and compliance to reporting templates and frameworksEnsure monthly reporting in the DepartmentManage variances in actual vs. budget expenditure in all areas of accountabilityDevelop risk management strategies and risk register for the Department Develop polices, and procedures for the DepartmentEnsure clean, audit results Handle audit queries and ensure the availability of information for audit purposesManage and monitor budget in the DepartmentPeople management in the DepartmentConduct timeous recruitment and selection of staffImplement SSETAs BEE targets in the DepartmentImplement SSETAs performance management in the DepartmentInduct and orientate direct reportsProvide capacity building, through training, coaching and development of direct reportsEnsure that employees have clear work expectations and goals,Ensure attendance of staffManage the disciplinary of employees in the Department
