This role will facilitate operational execution of the entire HR Value Chain across different functional areas and as such requires an understanding of organisational processes, procedures, standards and controls. Job PurposeThe purpose of this role is to lead the effective management of people resources at a regional level. This role will take accountability for ensuring the right talent is acquired and retained. They will also lead HR initiatives at a regional level and facilitate the effective exit of employees through resignation; retrenchment; retirement; etc.Key Accountabilities and OutputsTalent AcquisitionAttract the right talent at the regional levelSource and assess the right talentEnsure the recruitment of the right talentPlace the right talentEnsure induction is timeously conducted for new recruitsConduct succession planning, ensuring that succession plans are developed and updated as neededUpdate Individual Development PlansExecute on agreed promotionsPerformance ManagementEffectively facilitate the end to end PDR Cycle (both good and poor performance)Employee Engagement and WellnessDevelop and Execute on Retention PlansIndustrial RelationsConduct Consequence Management (IR)Conduct Grievance Management as requiredImplement initiatives to ensure Employment Equity and Diversity and InclusionRedeploy and Exit EmployeesExecute on Employee TransfersManage Resignations and Dismissals Manage Retirements and Ill HealthManage Employee RetrenchmentManage Mutually Agreed Exit (Good Leave Exit)Conduct Employee Exit InterviewPeople Capacity PlanningUpdate Annual HR Plan(s)Update Annual HR BudgetGeneral Business, Financial and People ManagementActively participate in strategic planning and budgeting setting and review processes Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systemsEnsure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controlsManage cost drivers and take the necessary action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepanciesEnsure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadership
