Distance brands include INTEC College, Damelin Correspondence College (DCC) and our higher-education distance brand, Lyceum. The following position has become available in the Legal Department. The successful incumbent will report to the Group Legal Manager and Company Secretary and will be responsible for the following activities:Drafting of legal/litigation documentsAttending to correspondences, emailsDrafting agreements, internal leases, contractsRequesting for payments and following upDiary management-setting up meetingsAttending to diarizing filesOpening and closing of files- electronic and manualUpdating files electronically and manuallyDrafting briefs/instructions to counselAttending to keeping the attorney updated with the court dates, drafting pleadings, making copies and making sure that same is served and filed in timeTime to time reception dutyFilingDrafting status reports on matters Minute taking at internal disciplinary hearingsAssisting in research, compiling relevant files Collating and adjusting of correspondent attorneys monthly feesAttending to the request of correspondent attorneys/advocates monthly fees;Keeping a record of all lease agreementsDoing work for other managersDictaphone typingSetting up meetings, sending meeting requests, preparing packs, making copies.Should you not receive any feedback in 6 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.Educor will give preference to South African citizens and those that advance its employment equity goals, suitably qualified in line with the inherent requirements of the job advertised
