We are searching for a dynamic Social Media Coordinator to join the Jacaranda FM Digital Team. The successful incumbent will be based at Midrand and service Jacaranda FM, a division of Kagiso Media (Pty) Ltd.The Social Media Co-Ordinator will be responsible for day-to-day management and growth of all Social Media Channels. While this role focuses on social media channels, the person will also be required to work alongside the Digital Lead to establish the overall digital strategy and implementation thereof. This person would be responsible for content creation and community management on all social media platforms, current and future platforms. Key Accountabilities:Digital:Stimulating and moderating discussion across social media platforms;Managing and creating new content across relevant social channels; Exploring ways to leverage audience discussion and feedback across media for research and engagement purposes; Exercising sound editorial judgment, ensuring compliance with copyright restrictions Mastering the use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, YouTube platforms and drive results using these channels daily;Execute and own social strategy and stations events; Identify emerging social trends and educate the team as well as communicate how the station can take advantage of these trends and opportunities; Administer engagement on all social platforms, including taking part in social customer interactions; Advise on the best way to communicate campaigns, events and key messages socially using the correct channels in line with best practice and successful case studies;Use tools to provide reports on community health and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through new initiatives.General:Participates as a member of the Programming team;Execute any tasks that may reasonably be expected;Attend to general administrative duties where applicable;Assist in various areas of the programming department;Attend digital, programming, marketing and news diary meeting where applicable;Required to work on weekends from time to time in accordance with specific events and activations.
