Expression of Interest for Professional Nurses on an upcoming Vaccination program anticipated to end in December 2021. Work DescriptionCollaborating with multidisciplinary team members; providing highly experienced and efficient clinical services and psychological support to participants, their families and supervising assigned team members whilst adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.Technical Work ResponsibilitiesProvide and supervise comprehensive, safe and effective evidence based clinical procedures to achieve identified health outcomesManage all activities required for the implementation of the research studyFulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the South African Nursing Council and the Health Professions Council of South Africa Enforce the rights of all participants and maintain cultural sensitivityPlan, evaluate and manage clinical procedures in consultation with the multidisciplinary team Provide comprehensive reports and recommendations on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of processesDutiesLiaise with stakeholders and contribute towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.Effective communication with relevant stakeholders regarding constraints and appropriate resolutions Promote health education regularly by conducting outreach duties with mobiles in the communityConduct HCT on a daily basisObtain participants medical historyPhysical examination of participants, including pelvic, genital and rectal examinationsDraw blood and other specimensMonitor vital signsDispense medicationAssess the results and refer participants for further treatment where necessaryIssue ARV medicationMonitor ARV RX adherence and provide education on lifestyle modificationsManage participants on a regular basis to monitor side effectsReferral of participants for further investigations including x-rays, sonars etc.Conduct pre-and post-counselling services for each participant Provide support and guidance to enhance quality of lifeRecruitment and screening of volunteers and potential study participants from target populationsAdminister screening questionnaire Obtain and accurately document informed consent from volunteersFollow-up on participants, answer questions about the research to potential volunteers and stakeholders in accordance with the protocol and SOPsEnrol participants according to SOPs and protocolComplete case study reports and data collection formsPerform daily quality checks and data capturingContinuous monitoring of trial participants Provide qualitative and quantitative reports on trial and participant progressCompile and submit daily statisticsCompile and submit required monthly reports Management of medication (ARV) distributed to participants Manage and report accurate stock take of all supplies and medication Manage and report the ordering of supplies and medicationManage the use of data collection tools Manage study case reports (CRFs) Manage the data and filing system Submit recommendations on increasing effectiveness and efficiency in processes to senior managementMaintain confidentiality and ethical standards at all timesParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalsIdentify own developmental needs and implement approved recommendations Manage and coach subordinates to facilitate effective and efficient clinical services Train subordinates on new developments and procedures Facilitate the development of subordinates Supervision of sub ordinates by providing guidance and in- service training to identify and address all challenges.Mentoring and coaching of sub ordinatesDebriefing or subordinates when requiredComply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislationProvide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skillComply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed legislationReport all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human ResourcesAdhere to decision making proceduresPlease note: Kindly provide current and relevant references for background checksAll appointments are subject to the preferred candidates obtaining the necessary security clearance, reference checking and competency assessment.
