The Corporate Finance Executive will assist in providing deal related services, principally from a financial and accounting perspective to both financial and strategic buyers and vendors. The successful candidate will also be involved with JSE advisory services from time to time. Building trust and relationshipsFostering Collaborative Teamwork.Approachability, persuading and influencing.Proactive in all that we doFostering active communication (verbal and written)Continuously adding valueExcellent presenterHave a Commercial and Innovative Digital Mind-setAligning career aspirations with the strategies, goals and objectives of the team and firmInnovative and willing to share ideas for new ways of working.Ability to work with all levels within an organisationJob Description Transaction Advisory (50%)Oversight and management of due diligence projects, including internal and external co-ordination Planning of due diligence projects including working paper and report template preparationProduction of comprehensive due diligence reports which indicate, inter alia key due diligence findings and recommendations to the client, which are in compliance with best practice and BDO standardsPreparation of engagement scope of work with specific procedures tailored to the underlying target entities which are designed to address client expectationsManage relationships with client management Assign and lead teams in terms of performing engagement management activities such as billing, scheduling, performance, mentoring, managing client expectations, and identifying additional client needsMaintain active communication with both partners and clients to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction. Proactively identify, document and communicate any changes to the scope of workAssist in the support of transactions in our capacity as JSE reporting accountantsM&A (50%)Liaise with partners in the Port Elizabeth office to identify M&A dealsWork with our JHB M&A team on the execution of their Port Elizabeth based jobsPrepare information memorandums and teaser documents in compliance with best practice and BDO standardsPrepare valuation workings and reports of privately held businesses and projects using various valuation techniques.Identification of potential buyers by leveraging the BDO network, desktop research, client contacts, and own networkCo-ordination of meeting between seller and seller approved buyersAssisting with negotiations with prospective acquires to secure acceptable offers for the business.Oversight of sales process to ensure an effectively managed transaction
