The role of the Finance Manager is to lead, manage and coordinate the Financial Operations, ensuring the effective delivery of all financial servicesacross the Airline. This includes general and revenue accounting, cost management, budgeting, payroll and tax compliance in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. Communicate actions needed to implement the Unit's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate the team to commit and achieve business goalsMaintain optimal resource planning, budgeting, allocation, utilization and managementContributes to the formation of a key element of functional strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs.Manage a significant portion of the organization's financial management and/or control processes.Undertake strategic and tactical financial analysis, modelling, and evaluation to support business leaders in their decision making.Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently on costing, budgeting and finance tasks while providing guidance and training to others.Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently, leading, providing guidance and training to others on conducting financial audits, identifying exceptions and developing specific solutions or recommendations.Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols in own area of specialization to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.Plan and deliver financial systems changes and manage the team on a day-today basis to meet project timelines and quality and budget requirements. Engage with finance and business end users to identify requirements and work with the team to design solutions.Formulates overall tender strategies for Divisional projectsDirects the implementation of Divisional projectsCoordinates synergy across systems and divisional projectsDirects analysis of relevance of emerging trends on Financial systems and project solutionsAppraise effectiveness of training provided to the team and return on investmentFormulate strategic partnerships to enhance capacity building for operations and services Coordinates and Leads the development and implementation of On the Job Training for the teamManage and reports on the organization's risk management and/or control process. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in financial management and/or operations.Formulates Scorecards, Manage and report on business performanceHold direct reports accountable for performance planning and achievement of business plansTakes corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of business objectives; Foster an atmosphere of inclusiveness with diverse stakeholders and the global business community
