Underground Diesel Mechanic

Barberton Mines first produced gold in 1886. The mining complex now comprises three mines: Fairview, New Consort and Sheba. A vacancy exists for the above position. Individuals that meet the requirements are invited to apply for this position.Purpose of the job:Maintain and inspect equipment according to OEM, Mine Health and Safety Act and prescribed performance requirements. Main Role Outcomes:Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accuratelyQuality control of repairsAttend to breakdowns electrical and mechanical fault findingMonitor and instruct outside service providers performing repairsCarrying out routine inspectionsDo planned and unplanned maintenanceDetect Mechanical and Electrical FaultsPerform checks on a regular basis and detects possible faultsImprovises necessary solutions as and when needed
