Service & Hospitality Trainer
This position has the responsibility to train service and housekeeping staff on all aspects of service and housekeeping in areas that WSN operates in. This includes implementing course material, staying up to date with developments in the industry, presenting formal and informal courses and delivering on-the-job training in the camps. The incumbent will be responsible to train, monitor and measure the training and development presented and ensure that it is in line with the strategy of the company. This position will report to the Hospitality Support and work alongside camp management to meet training and operational goals. Setting up annual training schedules for front of house and housekeeping staff trainingEncourage ongoing personal development of front of house and housekeeping staffProvide ongoing on the job training for front of house and housekeeping staffInductions and in-camp training sessions with front of house and housekeeping staff at our lodges/ campsResponsible for coordination and implementation of various front of house and housekeeping training and monthly reporting thereofMaintaining and Development of new front of house and housekeeping courses and training material while utilizing the available resourcesDevelop and train front of house and housekeeping staff as well as enhanced guests experiences for the front of house service and housekeeping departments.Development of skills in hygiene, drinks and table service mis en place in bar and waitron staff members using the platforms provided.Develop and train staff in the maintenance of the front of house equipment and how to maintaining the look and feel of the camp as per the Wilderness Safaris StandardsDevelopment of skills in hygiene, sanitation, cleaning chemical use and care as well as general and Wilderness Safaris standard specific housekeeping practices using the platforms providedDevelop and train staff in the maintenance of housekeeping equipment. As well as how to maintain the look and feel of the camp as per the Wilderness Safaris Standards.Work closely with the Guest Experience Manager per camp to ensure training and provide support to ensure that standards are maintained in the guest areas.Provide support to ensure correct levels of operational equipment are maintained in camp for the provision of service to the guests in both the front of house and housekeeping area.Develop and implement and maintain systems to ensure the front of house and housekeeping services are maintained and improved by continuous training support.
