Prospecting for new business by opportunity identification, area and business review, making telephonic contact and cold callingQualifying potential clients in terms of requirements (volumes, distribution areas, current providers, cargo types etc.) then submitting these to Sales manager for consideration in the form of a sales filter Develop and update knowledge of your own and competitors service offeringsGathering market intelligence / information in terms of freight service opportunities, competitor activities and reports, accordinglyDetermine Customer needs and demonstrate Tritons services to them to suite their requirements, adding value to their businessFormally present the business proposalNegotiate prices and credit termsWork on continuously improving marketing strategiesAchieve agreed sales targetsPlan, organise, follow up and communicate progress to client effectivelyInput of work to optimise the operations department capabilityUpdate leads to PENTAGONEffective management of PENTAGON system & processesHandling client enquires, queries and problems and facilitating resolutionsConducting monthly and weekly service call visitationsIdentifying and capitalizing on service / sale extension opportunitiesAdvising rate increases and processing procedural changesBuilding client relationships at all levelsMonitor Client activityEnsure that all information from sales is detailed and accurateGenerate accurate quotes for all work requirementsPreparing / submitting weekly new business reportsMonitoring credit applications submitted for approval and expediting samePreparing recommended proposals for Sales managers approvalEnsuring that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee Customer satisfaction
