Electrical Engineering Graduate
Purpose:To assist the Electrical Engineering department to carry out electrical engineering work where mentorship will be provided to ensure safe work practices.The graduate will be required to partake in projects issued by the Electrical Manager as part of the development Programme. Responsibilities:Fill in a log bookExposure to practical electrical workIdentify, label, and understand the use of various electrical components. This includes understanding the mechanics behind the component, know what it does, and how it is used for the different applicationsBe able to perform testing and troubleshooting on various electrical componentsGain exposure to the electrical equipment in the production environment Work under supervision and be given small project work in the production environment for example - Be able to wire up a small panelLow voltageMedium voltage switch gear in the substation how the mechanics work, transformers, tripping and safety relaysLearning how to use the various testersWorking with Artisans to understanding components of the Electrical department PLC, Programming and AC/DC DrivesKey relationships:Procurement and Stores Department Electrical and Mechanical Workshop departmentsOperators and SupervisorsExternal Relationships:Service Providers
