Technical Specialist IT Operations (Africa Data Centres)
Be responsible for local planning, implementation, and maintenance of ADC IT platforms, including support of server hardware and operating systems. This includes network management, fault management, monitoring and provisioning as well implementing upgrades, configuration remediation, and system enhancements. Ensure adherence to ADC IT security policies in all activities.Provide support for all Data Centre IT systems including but not limited to Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Management Systems (EMS), Security Systems, Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), Billing Platforms, Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM), Microsoft Azure and Office 365.Provide IT support for end users and end user equipment, including desktops, laptops and printers. Provide weekly and monthly reports across areas of responsibility. IT Hardware, Software and Network DeploymentImplement changes to existing IT systems as directedSupport the acceptance of new IT systems, including quality assurance checksSupport integration between internal IT systems and LIT Group IT and 3rd party platformsImplement operating system build, software releases and changes to ensure IT System stabilityFollow IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT systemsIT OperationsCarry out daily system support and patch management of all IT systemsPerform System Administration tasks as per scheduled maintenancePerform incident management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for IT incidentsPerform testing of disaster recovery plan for IT Systems as per business requirementsIT Monitoring and ReportingMonitor system performance throughout the environment and identify any potential threshold breachRespond to critical alerts in accordance with Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)Carry out IT Backup and Restore procedures for IT systems as and when requiredCollect performance data, and compile weekly performance management reports Collect capacity data, and compile weekly capacity management reports IT SupportProvide support to ensure that system incidents, information requests, and other support activities are resolved timeouslyProvide support to ensure that end user incidents and information requests for all desktop applications including Office 365, Sharepoint, general IT applications are resolved timeouslyEnsure first line support for corporate networks, including cabling, switches, access points Provide server and application support is provided for all on-premises and cloud infrastructureTrack and manage cross-functional operational support between ADC and LIT Group IT, and ensure that all incidents are resolved within the required timeframeIT Security and ComplianceFollow information Security Policies and Processes to ensure the protection of all electronic dataAdhere to IT Security policies, and carry out security measures as directed for IT platformsSupport the implementation of security patches in all applicable IT systemsCarry out IT Asset Tagging and Tracking for all local IT assetsProvide inputs to the IT risk register, and take action as directed to address risks
