To build a holistic blueprint of the Funds technology solutions, processes, and information technology assets, and map the business requirements to systems/technical solutions to ensure they are in line with theenterprise architectural plan. Technical Strategy and Planning- Recommend and participate in the analysis, evaluation and development of EPPF long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the technology architecture objectives are consistent with the enterprises long-term business objectives.- Assess systems architecture in place (as-is) and work with key stakeholders and technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it and build target models (to-be) for various domains (business, data, application and technology) with roadmaps to create an overall solution architecture and roadmap for EPPF.- Accurately communicate the EPPF architecture and roadmap to improve decision making, coordinate diverse initiatives, and accelerate the pace of change.- Ensure alignment between the the IT enterprise architecture, solution architecture, architecture principles and technology standards to ensure standardisation and reduce risk. - Own and implement a good end-to-end technology solutions strategy that will accomplish business capabilities and meet desired business outcomes. - Advise on the right architecture (software and hardware), tools, frameworks to optimally achieve the set business objectives.- Develop and manage digital technology architecture and standards for EPPF that support the implementation of the digital technology strategy. - Collaborate with the project manager and other project owners by providing oversight, the progress of development, testing and implementation tasks.Architecture compatibility, roadmaps and oversight- Define reference architecture in accordance with architectural policies, standards, guidelines and the architectural library.- Translate business practices and processes into architectures to enable delivery of appropriate solutions. - Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.- Analyse information, evaluate possible risks and potential impact on the business delivery. - Collaborate with all stakeholders in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution to solve problems.- Manage, control and maintain Digital Technology architecture including architecture models. - Recommend and participate in activities related to design, development and maintenance of the EPPF architecture. - Identify and when necessary, propose variances to the architecture to align to project needs, efficiency and the reduction of operational risk.- Perform ongoing architecture quality reviews relative to specific portfolio(s).Continuous Business Improvement- Maintain currency with industry best practice to ensure digital solutions are fit for purpose and identify opportunities and risks for enhanced business solutions- Undertake high level research, horizon scanning and analysis to identify future digital technology trends and assess applicability to EPPF to support business objectives.- Balance current and new architecture and resources in the context of competing business demands. - Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof-of-Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption. - Share best practices, lessons and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming vendor products and solutions. - Continuously improve the architecture process, its outcomes and ongoing results. - Assist in post implementation efforts to enhance performance and increased functionality. Governance- Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide architectural decision making.- Lead the architectural ecosystem-wide governance processes.- Manage exceptions to architectural standards at an at EPPF level. - Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with applicable standardsPeople Management- Manage planning of resource requirements, ensure sufficient capable resources are in place to meet service delivery demands, maintaining the effective and efficient capability of the department.- Build a high performing team where the best people are deployed in the right roles and deliver against strategy. - Ensure that all employees are motivated, developed.- Manage employees performance and ensure that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard.- Implement and maintain an effective system of internal controls and delegations of authority for the department, to ensure that accountability for decisions made.- Inspires, aligns and engages employees around the vision and strategy of the Fund, maximising employee engagement and willingness to invest discretionary effort Budgets / Financial Management- Forecast operational budgets in line with corporate guidelines.- Compile and gain budget approval in line with policy guidelines. - Manage costs against guidelines, and ensure alignment of expenditure with the budget.
