Strata Control Officer
Barberton Mines first produced gold in 1886. The mining complex now comprises three mines: Fairview, New Consort and Sheba. A vacancy exists for the above position. Individuals that meet the requirements are invited to apply for this position. Roles & Responsibilities:Investigating underground instability issues and rock related incidentsCapturing and representing data and information in line with organisational and stakeholder requirementsAccurate and timeous reporting of data and informationRecommending on the safety and productivity of the mining environmentAdherence to strata control practices and principlesAdherence to standardisation requirements, policies, procedures and operating standards related to strata control services and supportResolving or escalating operational strata control related queries or breakdowns declaredReviewing and analysing effectiveness of operational strata control processesReviewing strata control data and informationParticipating in the identification of defects and improvement opportunitiesSuccessful teamwork and collaboration with stakeholdersAdherence to organisational and legislative safety requirements
